Father Christopher has been the Pastor at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church since 1990. He was appointed Vicar for South Florida by His Eminence Metropolitan Alexios in 1998 after serving the archdiocese in a wide range of roles, including Archdiocesan Representative to the United Nations and United States Missions, Director and Dean of Admissions of the Hellenic College and Holy Cross School of Theology, member of the Archdiocesan Council, President of the Archdiocesan Presbyter's Council for two consecutive terms, and council member of the Diocese of Denver and the Diocese of Atlanta. He graduated from Hellenic College in 1977 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with Distinction and holds a Master of Divinity Studies from the Holy Cross School of Theology and a Doctorate of Ministry from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary.

Rev. Fr. Spiro D. Bobotas

Assistant Priest - B.S., M. Div

Fr. Spiro D. Bobotas was born and raised in Manchester, NH. He received B.S. Degree in Business Administration from the Whittemore School of Business at the University of New Hampshire, Durham in 1983 and a Masters Degree in Divinity from the Holy Cross School of Theology in 1999. Prior to his Seminary years Fr. Spiro’s experience range from Jewelry to retail consultant specializing in special projects. During his seminary years he was the Youth Director for His Eminence Metropolitan Methodios, In January of 2001 Married in 2005 to his wife Lisa he was ordained to the priesthood in June of 2006. He is assigned to Saint Demetrios as the Voithos.

 Kiki maintains and keeps current our stewardship database. She will discuss with you your commitment of time, talent, and treasure. This includes yearly financial pledges and questions regarding volunteer opportunities. You may expect a call from Kiki to help you determine how your personal skills and experience may be useful. Mrs.Susan Spiegel

Bookkeeper

Susan works directly with the Treasurer and the parish council in the everyday posting of financial records. She is the Parish Council’s Liason w/ event chairs, people, and coordinates with the various vendors involved in the operation of the church facilities.

 Mrs. Pauline Loupasakis

Office Assistant

Pauline owns that friendly, helpful voice on the phone. She publishes the weekly parish bulletin and The Spirit newsletter. In addition, she schedules appointments for and provides clerical assistance to both Fr. Christopher and Fr. Spiro, and schedules Parish Council meetings, keeping records of elections, minutes and agenda.
