ACADEMIC YEAR

From September until May, students leave church on Sundays immediately following Communion to go to the Sunday School rooms housed above the Community Center. They stay in Sunday school until 12:00

OUR MISSION

Our purpose is to help our students grow in their love for and knowledge of Jesus Christ through the Greek Orthodox Church. We use a variety of materials including texts from the Greek Orthodox Department of Religious Education and the Orthodox Christian Education Commission, programs from Orthodox Christian Network and teacher made materials. We also use discussion groups, film, songs, prayer, and crafts to assist children in their spiritual growth.

ACTIVITIES

Our classes use curriculum and materials from the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese Department of Religious Education with some supplementary material from the Orthodox Christian Education Commission.  Sunday School students participate in the annual Christmas Pageant and the St. John Chrysostom Oratorical Festival.
