Sunday School Begins!

Sunday school is off to a fantastic start with five new volunteers in addition to our full complement of returning teachers.  Our teachers strive to make every lesson important, fun and engaging. This year we are emphasizing some of the ways children can actively participate in our beautiful faith

Father John visited Sunday school last week and sang with us.  He’ll be coming the first Sunday of every month to teach us to chant. We are even using the traditional Byzantine notations.

Not just monks can make incense.  Our children will make their own incense on September 29.  Each child will make some to take home and some to share with the church.

On October 27, we’ll be making our own prayer ropes and learning about the Jesus prayer.

Help your children learn to be active, fully participating Orthodox Christians by bringing them to Sunday school each week.
