Parish Council Elections
Today, Sunday, December 8,2013 the members of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church are
invited to participate in the election of Parish Council members who will serve for the 3-year term 2014, 2015, 2016.
Voting will begin immediately following Church services and will end at 1pm.
According to the Uniform Parish Regulations and by-laws, in order to participate in voting amember must be in good standing. Members in good standing are those who have paid their Stewardship Pledge, through November, for 2013. A member who is in arrears in his Stewardship Pledge may take part in the election by paying such arrears. New members may exercise the right to vote if they have been members for at least 3 months.

Cancer Fighting Sunday
Today Dec. 8, 2013 the Cancer Chapter is holding a bake sale, raffle drawing and a Christmas Boutique. All proceeds support cancer research at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. Please join us after church services in the community center for this annual event.
Christmas Caroling
The St. Demetrios GOYA Carolers will be in your neighborhood to bring in the Christmas Cheer.
Dec. 11 – North Broward 6:00pm-8:30pm
Dec. 19 – East Broward 6:00pm-8:30pm
If you would like them to sing for you and your family, please sign up at our GOYA table in the community center this Sunday.
Sunday School Christmas Pageant and Family Night
Friday, December 20, 2013 at 6:30pm In the Community Center
There is a play practice on Sunday, Dec. 8 at 12pm in the church.
Grand Raffle
Tickets have been mailed to our parishioners. If you need more tickets, a table is set up every Sunday from now until the festival. You may turn in your tickets stubs and pick up more tickets to sell. Ticket price is $25.00 and our goal is to sell 5000 to win a Brand New 2014 Lexus IS250.
