Now in the second half of the year, we want to end the 2014 stewardship drive in order to better budget, maintain and create the ministries that your Church offers its parishioners.

Your pledge will allow us to look towards the future comfortably, knowing we have reached our budget goals. We will be able to direct all of our energies towards ministering to our people and fine tuning our programs.

You have the opportunity to put the Church in a better planning and budgeting position, allowing us to focus on developing, improving and further

understanding the needs of our parishioners.

Please check out our new and improved parish website and also you can now register on line for our youth and adult programs

Orientation Day for our Youth and Adult Ministries -August 24

 Please join us next Sunday in our community center.   You will have an opportunity to meet with the coordinators of each program organizations and learn more about each ministry. All ministries will begin September 7. Also be sure to also stay for a complementary luncheon ,sponsored by the Ladies of Philoptochos and the Daughters of Penelope. We thank them for their continued support.

  • The Education, Youth and Cultural Committee is now accepting applications for the various ministries for the 2014-2015 calendar year. Please consider sharing your talents with our church family. Please fill out the form on our website.

Father Chris and Fr. John and the Committee are looking forward to another year of vibrant programs for our Parishioners. You may pick up a form in the south Narthex.

  • The Education, Youth and Culture Committee (EYCC) of Saint Demetrios invites applications for vacancies in the Language and Culture Program. These positions are (1) Program Director and (2) Teachers of the Greek language. Additional information regarding this ministry may be found at our website and volunteer application. Please call Kiki Sergiou at 954-467-1515 to set up an appointment to meet with Fr. Chris.

Book your Cruise for the New Year! Cabins still available.

St. Demetrios, with the help of Stephen Solos, is co-ordinating a one week cruise aboard the MSC Divina . Set to sail Dec. 27 with stops in St. Maarten, San Juan and Gr. Stirrup Key and back Jan. 3. A fully refundable deposit of $100. per person is due upon booking with final payment due Oct. 3. Please watch for more details.

The St. Demetrios Endowment Program.

This program has been established in order to secure the future of our church. Individuals, families, businesses or corporations may give to the Endowment fund and designate these funds to be utilized within the following areas, Educational Programs, Land Acquisition, Building Maintenance, New Building Construction and Social Ministries. Your gift would have an immediate impact with 50% being held in the endowment fund thereby securing growth for the future and the other 50% going immediately for use in the area you have chosen. This giving can be done during your lifetime or designated in your will. We are available to discuss these options and others with you at your convenience. Please contact Fr.
