A pledging parishioner is someone who fills out a stewardship card offering to the church time, talent and treasure. If you are not able to offer a pledge for the year,
please speak with Fr. John.

Most of you are familiar with Father John’s weekly phone messages. We will be adding cell phone numbers to our calling list; both for the weekly voice messages and for text messages. The text messages will be brief. In order for us to send you text messages, we will need your permission. Please text the word ALERT to 22300. This will opt you in. You will also be able to Opt out at any time.
If you do not wish to receive voice messages on either your home phone or your cell phone, please call the office.

GREEK SCHOOL AT ST. DEMETRIOS
Did you know?
Today, over thirteen million people speak Greek around the world.
Learning Greek is beneficial to more than those individuals of Greek heritage.
The Greek language is used in mathematics, science, medicine, and other disciplines.
By learning Modern Greek, students young and older, will gain the tools needed for greater academic achievement and growth.
That is why the Greek School at St. Demetrios will begin this Fall and will offer three classes, A’ and B’ and Advanced. A fourth class, Γ’, will be offered depending on the enrollment.
Class Times:
A’ and B’ will meet on Mondays and Thursdays from 4:15-6:00 PM
An Advanced Class will meet on Mondays from 6:00-8:00 PM

St. Demetrios Ministry Orientation
After Liturgy on Sunday, August 30th, We will be having our annual St. Demetrios Ministry Orientation. This is the opportunity for everyone to get information and sign up for all the Ministries at St. Demetrios. We hope to see you all there!!!
Youth Ministry Registration is Now Open
We hope everyone had a great Summer! We are beginning our Youth Ministry Year here at St. Demetrios in Fort Lauderdale September 13th, 2015. The EYCC together with all the Ministry Leaders have been working hard over the summer in planning the upcoming year. We have a wonderful year planned out that include two additional ministries: HOPE/JOY and Greek School Program. The Education, Youth and Cultural Committee is now accepting applications for the various ministries for the 2015-2016 calendar year. Please consider sharing your talents with our church family.
