A Devoted Heart
In the name of The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit, Amen.
Words that roll off our tongues without hesitation and/or thought. But who is The Holy Spirit? We know of God, we know of Jesus, but do we really know of The Holy Spirit, the third person of the Trinity?
There are many misconceptions about the identity of the Holy Spirit. Some view the Holy Spirit as a mystical force. Others understand the Holy Spirit as the impersonal power that God makes available to followers of Christ.
But most importantly, what does the Bible say about the identity of the Holy Spirit?
The Bible declares that the Holy Spirit is God. The Bible also tells us that the Holy Spirit is a divine person, a being with a mind, emotions, and a will.
Join us this Sunday for “A Devoted Heart” as we will be continuing the series Discovering The God I Never Knew.
“And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not behold Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you, and will be in you.” … “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him, and make Our abode with him.” (John 14:16-17, 23)
As Orthodox Christian’s we have been given a Helper, do you KNOW Him?
