A Devoted Heart
Dear Friends of “A Devoted Heart” we will be meeting this Sunday to continue our series on The Lord’s Prayer. We will be studying the scripture from Matthew 6:12, ”And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.”
Forgiveness… what does that look like in your life? What emotions does that word bring up? I’m sure we have all heard of this saying before “forgive but don’t forget.” Where those the words of Jesus or man?
If we continue reading the Lord’s Prayer in Matthew verses 14-15
14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: 15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Well then that scripture changes things. In essence, the measure of forgiveness that we extend to others is the measure of forgiveness God extends to us! Wow!
We would love to have you come join us at 12:30 as we discuss forgiveness the way Jesus instructed us to.
Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?
Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but,
Until seventy times seven. Matthew 18:21-22
